Dr. Sarita Bhalerao has received the Asea-Oceana Young Gynecologist Award in 2000 and the Hargobind Foundation Fellowship in 2003.

She is  the Vice President of The Mumbai Obstetric and Gynecological Society

She is the Governing Council Member of Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

In 1994 she worked at Gravesend Hospital, UK as Senior House Officer.

• Her areas of interest include Preventive Oncology, Menopause, Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy and High-Risk Pregnancy.​
